8 Best XB Wishlist App Alternatives for Shopify

8 Best XB Wishlist App Alternatives for Shopify

Looking for an XB Wishlist Alternative?

XB Wishlist is a popular Shopify app for letting shoppers save products without an account. It has no developer website, help docs or changelog, though, so the App Store listing is the only documentation a merchant can check.

So, we compared seven wishlist apps on how shoppers can save and share products, what each app sends after a save, and which other parts of the store each one covers. Vitals is our app, so we've noted its gaps too.

What Is XB Wishlist Shopify App?

XB Wishlist is a Shopify app for letting shoppers save products and bringing them back with stock and price emails. Shoppers can save items from product cards, product pages and the cart, and the app can email them when a saved item changes.

Here's what you can do with XB Wishlist:

  • Wishlists without login: Let guests save products, keep favorites, make a public list or keep several wishlists at once.
  • Save for Later: Move items removed from the cart into a Save for Later list instead of losing them.
  • Stock and price emails: Email shoppers when a saved item drops in price, comes back in stock or gets low, through System Mail, SMTP, Klaviyo or Shopify Flow.
  • Wishlist analytics: See which saved products reach the cart and checkout, and the revenue they bring.
  • Accounts and POS: Show wishlists on the customer account page and, on the Pro plan, on Shopify POS.

Where XB Wishlist stands out is the range of list types for a young app. Guest lists, multiple wishlists, Save for Later and CSV import and export are all in its listing, so it suits stores that want shoppers to organise saves in more than one way.

Customer reviews mostly praise how quickly it installs and how guest wishlists and Save for Later work out of the box.

How Much Does XB Wishlist App Cost?

PlanMonthly
Basic$11.95
Pro$25.95

XB has no website that lists prices, so these come from the Shopify App Store listing on October 16, 2026, with a 7-day free trial.

Why Shopify Merchants Look for XB Wishlist Alternatives

XB Wishlist has a 4.8 rating from 63 reviews and the Built for Shopify badge. Still, merchants who move away from it point to these reasons:

  • It covers the wishlist and its alerts only, so reviews, bundles and discounts need other apps
  • XB sells its compare, FAQ, quote and product options apps as separate installs
  • There's no developer website, help center or changelog, so setup questions go to support
  • Back-in-stock and price-drop emails, the account-page wishlist and multi-language support need the Basic plan, while POS and recommendations need Pro
  • A November 2025 review describes slow support replies and unanswered follow-ups about a theme issue

Switching makes the most sense for stores that want their wishlist, reviews and offers handled by one app and paid for on one bill.

How We Compared the XB Wishlist Alternatives

We read each app's live Shopify App Store listing, its help docs and its changelog, where available, on October 16, 2026, and took every rating and review count from the listing that day.

We compared the apps on:

  • App type: standalone or all-in-one
  • Core wishlist features: guest saves, sharing, the wishlist page, emails about saved items and analytics
  • Store areas covered: product cards, the product page, the header, the cart and the customer account
  • How many separate apps each one replaces
  • Scripts added to the storefront and theme integration
  • AI features and MCP support
  • Setup, from the listing, the docs and what merchants report in reviews

Short Answer

Vitals - All in One App is the best XB Wishlist alternative for most stores.

  • It offers a wishlist with guest saves, sharing and a header icon with an item count, plus rating stars from its own reviews app on the wishlist page, while XB Wishlist stops at the wishlist and its alerts
  • It includes 40+ apps, such as reviews, bundles and discounts, in one subscription of $29.99/month
  • It replaces multiple single-purpose apps that you would otherwise install and pay for every month

Vitals costs more than either XB Wishlist plan, at $29.99/month. In return, it covers the reviews, bundle and discount apps a store would otherwise add next to its wishlist.

1. Vitals - All in One App

Vitals - All in One App on the Shopify App Store

Best for: Stores that want Wishlist, Back in Stock, Product Reviews and Bundles plus 40+ apps in one subscription

Rating: 4.9 (2,992 reviews) | App type: All-in-one | Free trial: 7 days | Built for Shopify: Yes

Vitals is our app, and it brings 40+ apps together, a wishlist among them, with reviews, discounts and bundles, in a single subscription of $29.99/month.

The Vitals Wishlist app puts a heart on product cards and the main product image, so shoppers can save an item without leaving the page. Guests can save without logging in, and their items move into their account when they sign in.

On the wishlist page, each item shows its rating stars from Vitals Product Reviews and a low-stock indicator, which gives shoppers a reason to buy now. For items that sell out, another Vitals app, Back in Stock, collects shopper requests and sends an email or SMS alert when stock returns.

Key features:

  • A heart on collection, home and search cards, and on the main product image
  • An Add to Wishlist button across the full width, or a small heart beside Add to cart
  • A header icon with an item count
  • A wishlist page with Add to Cart, "Add all to cart", a low-stock indicator and rating stars from Vitals Product Reviews
  • Guest wishlists kept on that browser for a year, logged-in wishlists synced across devices, and guest items merged into the account at login
  • Sharing built in, display rules by price, discount, stock or product, and translations for every wishlist text
  • Top 10 products, an Events log, CSV export and analytics, with no limit on saves
  • Back-in-stock requests with email or SMS alerts from the Vitals Back in Stock app

Pros:

  • Rating stars from its own reviews app appear on the wishlist page
  • There's no limit on how many items shoppers can save
  • The wishlist, restock alerts and 40+ other apps share one plan and one support team (e.g., Strapsology replaced 8 single-purpose apps with one Vitals plan)
  • Vitals MCP connects Claude and ChatGPT, so a merchant can change Vitals apps by chat, and Shopify Sidekick can answer questions about the Vitals Wishlist app

Cons:

  • The wishlist doesn't email shoppers yet, so there are no reminders or price-drop alerts, and restock alerts come from the separate Vitals Back in Stock app
  • Works on Shopify only

2. Wishlist by Square

Wishlist by Square on the Shopify App Store

Best for: Stores that would rather set up a free wishlist themselves from published help guides

Rating: 5.0 (134 reviews) | App type: Standalone | Free trial: Free plan | Built for Shopify: Yes

Wishlist by Square, built by Square Apps, comes with a help center that walks through installing and setting up the wishlist, which XB Wishlist doesn't have. The app is free, covers the wishlist alone and sends no emails to shoppers.

Its install guide covers switching on an app embed with no code edits, and reviews mention support fixing icon placement quickly.

Key features:

  • A full-width save button or an inline heart next to Add to cart, plus hearts on the main image and product cards
  • Placement by custom CSS selector, and display rules for chosen products or pages
  • Guest saves for up to 365 days, moved to the account when the shopper logs in during that visit
  • Shared wishlists by link or email
  • A wishlist page with an editable title and description and an "Add All to Cart" button
  • Wishlist and product totals for the last 30 days, a top 10 list and CSV export

Pros:

  • Help docs for install and setup, which XB Wishlist lacks
  • 16 storefront languages with editable translations

Cons:

  • No price-drop, low-stock or restock emails
  • One wishlist per shopper and no Save for Later in the cart
  • Stops at the wishlist, leaving the cart, checkout, reviews and bundles to other apps

Pricing: Free, with no paid plan (square-apps.com on October 16, 2026).

3. Wishlist Hero

Wishlist Hero on the Shopify App Store

Best for: Stores that want the wishlist app itself to email shoppers about price drops and low stock

Rating: 4.7 (416 reviews) | App type: Standalone | Free trial: 14 days | Built for Shopify: No

Wishlist Hero sends its own reminder emails when a saved product drops in price by a set percentage or falls below a stock threshold. It also sends wishlist events to Klaviyo, Meta Pixel, GA4 and TikTok Pixel, so ad and email teams can act on saves. It suits stores that want reminders without building flows in a separate email app.

Merchants report its support team installing and customizing it on their theme within days.

Key features:

  • A heart, star or bookmark button on product pages, with icons on collection, search and filter grids and in quick views
  • A header icon with a count, a floating launch point, and the wishlist as a pop-up or its own page
  • Guest lists that carry over into the customer's account at login
  • Sharing through a social pop-up, by email to up to three people or with a private link
  • Price-drop and low-stock reminder emails with editable templates (Silver plan)
  • Wishlist events for Klaviyo, Meta Pixel, GA4 and TikTok Pixel (Silver plan), and Klaviyo or Omnisend flow triggers (Gold Plus plan)
  • A dashboard with top products and customers, an activity feed and CSV exports

Pros:

  • Reminder emails come from the app itself, with no email platform needed
  • Shoppers can save a specific variant
  • Wishlists are stored in Revamp's cloud and survive theme changes and reinstalls

Cons:

  • Not Built for Shopify
  • Each plan caps wishlist additions a month, and new saves pause once the cap is reached
  • Covers the wishlist and its reminders only; back-in-stock alerts are the separate Back in Stock Hero app
  • Reviews from 2022 to 2024 describe broken theme styles and leftover code after uninstalling

SWishlist: Simple Wishlist keeps to the basics, a save button, a personal list and sharing with friends. Every plan includes setup by the developer's team on a set number of themes. It suits stores that want a plain wishlist styled for them rather than a long settings page.

5. Wishlist by Flits

Wishlist by Flits on the Shopify App Store

Best for: Stores with many sizes or colors that want shoppers to save the exact variant

Rating: 5.0 (7 reviews) | App type: Standalone | Free trial: 14 days | Built for Shopify: Yes

Wishlist by Flits saves the exact variant a shopper picks, with a variant pop-up on the save button. Flits split it out of its loyalty app in February 2026, and it adds back-in-stock "Notify Me" emails and a Klaviyo sync on its paid plan. It suits apparel and similar stores where a saved product means little without the right size.

Merchants report it was easy to set up, with support helping to embed it in their theme.

Key features:

  • A one-click save button with no login, plus icons on collection pages
  • A variant pop-up so each save records the chosen size or color

6. Swish (Wishlist King)

Rating: 4.9 (288 reviews) | App type: Standalone | Free trial: 30 days | Built for Shopify: Yes

Swish (Wishlist King), formerly Wishlist King, passes back-in-stock, low-stock and price-drop events to Klaviyo, where flows send the emails. It also supports multiple named lists, Hydrogen storefronts and Tapcart apps. It suits brands with an email team already working in Klaviyo.

Merchants report the Swish team installing and configuring it on their theme within a day.

Key features:

  • A product page app block, collection buttons, a floating wishlist link and a header link

  • Multiple named lists and variant-level saves, including several variants of one product
  • Public share links for any list
  • Back-in-stock, low-stock, price-drop, welcome and reminder flows sent through Klaviyo

Cons:

  • The price rises with the store's Shopify plan, up to $99 a month on Plus
  • Covers the wishlist alone, and its emails need a Klaviyo account

Pricing:

Friends who open a shared list can pick a variant and add it to their own cart. It suits gift-led stores, and it also reaches Shopify POS and B2B wholesale pricing.

  • Its script loaded on every page and its tracking tags broke Google Tag Manager, according to a June 2025 review
  • Theme files have to be removed inside the app before uninstalling

Best for: Small stores that want support to install a basic wishlist with social sharing

Rating: 4.9 (218 reviews) | App type: Standalone | Free trial: 7 days | Built for Shopify: Yes

How Many Apps Each Option Replaces

Every app on a storefront can load its own code on each page, which adds to load time. This table shows how many separate apps each option stands in for, by our count.

How we counted it:

  • Vitals - All in One App replaces up to 40+ single-purpose apps, starting with a wishlist app, a back-in-stock app, a product reviews app and a bundle app
  • Wishlist by Square replaces one wishlist app and nothing beyond it
  • Wishlist Hero replaces a wishlist app and a price-drop alert app
  • SWishlist: Simple Wishlist replaces a basic wishlist app
  • Wishlist by Flits replaces a wishlist app, a back-in-stock app and a save-for-later app
  • Swish (Wishlist King) replaces a wishlist app and a save-for-later app, and stands in for a wishlist alert app when paired with Klaviyo
  • Hulk AI Wishlist & Favorites replaces a wishlist app, a back-in-stock app and a gift registry app
  • Wishlist ‑ Wishify replaces a basic wishlist app
  • XB Wishlist replaces a wishlist app, a back-in-stock and price-drop alert app and a save-for-later app

XB Wishlist plus a reviews app and a bundle app makes three apps to set up, three support teams to contact and three charges a month, while one Vitals subscription covers all three jobs.

When Should You Stay on XB Wishlist

XB Wishlist still fits better in two cases.

  • You want back-in-stock, price-drop and low-stock emails sent through your own SMTP server, Klaviyo or Shopify Flow
  • Shoppers in your store need multiple wishlists, Save for Later in the cart, or their wishlist at a Shopify POS counter

Switch when you want the wishlist, rating stars on the wishlist page, restock alerts and bundles managed from one dashboard.

How to Migrate From XB Wishlist

XB Wishlist holds your customers' saved lists, so move them before you uninstall.

  1. Export every wishlist from XB Wishlist as a CSV, and note your alert email settings and any Klaviyo or Flow flows built on its events
  2. Install Vitals - All in One App, turn on the Vitals Wishlist app and the Vitals Back in Stock app, and set up the hearts, button and wishlist page on a duplicate theme
  3. Send the CSV to the Vitals team, who can import it into the Vitals Wishlist app. Guest wishlists kept only in a shopper's browser cookies can't be moved
  4. Decide what replaces XB's price-drop and low-stock emails, since the Vitals Wishlist app sends none, and keep a separate alert app if they matter to your store. Multiple wishlists and POS wishlists have no Vitals match
  5. Test saving, sharing and adding to cart on desktop and mobile, then publish the theme
  6. Uninstall XB Wishlist, switch off any Flow or Klaviyo flows that used its events, and check the theme for leftover wishlist code

Shopify stores such as Strapsology moved 8 single-purpose apps to one Vitals subscription.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the best XB Wishlist alternative for Shopify?

Vitals - All in One App is the best XB Wishlist alternative for most stores. It's the only all-in-one app that includes 40+ apps, such as a wishlist, back-in-stock alerts, reviews and bundles, in one subscription. It's our app, so check its entry for what it doesn't do.

2. Why do merchants switch from XB Wishlist?

It covers the wishlist and its alerts, so reviews, bundles and discounts need other apps. It also has no help docs or changelog, and a 2025 review describes slow support on a theme issue.

3. How do Vitals and XB Wishlist compare on wishlist features?

Both let guests save without an account and offer sharing, analytics and CSV export. XB Wishlist adds multiple wishlists, Save for Later, stock and price emails and POS. Vitals adds rating stars from its reviews app and a low-stock indicator on the wishlist page, display rules, and restock alerts through the Vitals Back in Stock app.

4. Can Vitals replace XB Wishlist and other apps at the same time?

Yes. Vitals can replace XB Wishlist along with separate apps for back-in-stock alerts, product reviews, bundles and discounts.

5. How do these XB Wishlist alternatives affect store speed?

Each app a store installs can add its own scripts, so speed depends on how many apps are installed as well as which ones. XB Wishlist plus a reviews app and a bundle app is three scripts, while Vitals - All in One App loads its wishlist and other apps from one. We didn't speed-test these apps, so check your own pages before and after a change.

6. Which XB Wishlist alternatives have AI features or MCP support?

Not all of them. Vitals has an AI Offer Generator for upsell offers, an AI reviews summary and Vitals MCP, which lets Claude or ChatGPT change Vitals apps by chat. Hulk AI Wishlist & Favorites writes reminder email text with AI and shows AI product recommendations under the wishlist. Wishlist by Flits lists questions to Shopify Sidekick about wishlist performance, which is Shopify's assistant rather than Flits' own AI. None of the others list AI features, and only Vitals lists MCP support.

7. Which XB Wishlist alternatives let shoppers save without an account?

Not all of them. Vitals - All in One App, Wishlist Hero, Wishlist by Square, Wishlist by Flits, Swish (Wishlist King) and Hulk AI Wishlist & Favorites all support guest wishlists. Wishlist ‑ Wishify offers them on its Professional plan, and SWishlist: Simple Wishlist names guest wishlists only in its listing tags.

8. How do I migrate from XB Wishlist to Vitals?

Export your wishlists from XB Wishlist as a CSV and send it to the Vitals team, who can import it into the Vitals Wishlist app. Turn on the Vitals Wishlist and Vitals Back in Stock apps on a duplicate theme, test them, then uninstall XB Wishlist and switch off any Klaviyo or Flow flows built on its events.
