About La Niche de Jules

La Niche de Jules is a French online shop for dogs and cats. It sells harnesses, collars, leads, coats, beds, toys, carriers and cat trees, plus treats and food, and personalised collars engraved with the pet’s name.

Its “Seconde Patte” collection resells items that came back after a size exchange, in like-new condition and at a lower price.

Before Vitals: 13 apps, 13 bills

So the store needs a lot on the page. Reviews and a way to collect them. Size guides for harnesses and collars. Low stock messages, payment logos, trust badges and a buy button that stays in view. Related products, a free delivery goal in the cart, the cart count in the browser tab, protected product photos and a Facebook pixel.

On Shopify, each of those is usually a separate app. That’s 13 apps for La Niche de Jules, and every one of them comes with its own monthly bill, its own code loading on every page, its own dashboard and its own support team to email when something breaks.

After Vitals: 13 apps, one bill

La Niche de Jules has been on Vitals since April 2024, and all 13 of those apps now come with one Vitals plan at $29.99 a month. Each app is a switch in the Vitals dashboard, and turning another one on doesn’t mean installing anything or paying more.

Day to day, that means one bill, and one app loading code on each page instead of 13. Changes happen in one place, and there’s one support team to ask. Review requests also go out on their own after each delivery, so nobody at the store has to chase customers for them.

  1. Product Reviews

Star ratings sit under the product name and in the sticky bar, and full reviews with customer photos fill the bottom of each product page. Vitals asks for them after delivery: it has collected 122 reviews since June 2024, with an average of 4.7 stars, and 118 of them come from verified buyers.

  2. Size Chart

Harnesses, collars and coats have a size guide on the product page. For the personalised collar it shows neck size, collar length and width for each size, so owners can measure their dog before they order.

  3. Stock Scarcity

When a product is running low, a short line above the buy button tells shoppers how many are left.

  4. Payment Logos

Under the buy button, a row of logos shows how shoppers can pay, from Visa and Mastercard to PayPal, Apple Pay and Klarna.

  5. Trust Badges

Four badges below the payment logos cover the basics a first-time buyer looks for: satisfaction guarantee, secure checkout, customer service and fast shipping.

  6. Sticky Add to Cart

The product name, rating, price and an Add to Cart button stay pinned to the bottom of the screen while shoppers scroll through photos and reviews.

  7. Related Products

Under each product, a carousel shows what other shoppers bought as well. On a collar page, that means a matching leash and more collars.

  8. Upsell Builder

In the cart, a free delivery goal shows how much more a shopper needs to spend to get free delivery, and how close they are.

  9. Favicon Cart Count

When something is in the cart, the store’s paw icon in the browser tab shows the number of items, so a shopper who switches tabs is reminded to come back.

  10. Content Protection

Product photos can’t be saved with a right-click, so they are harder to copy onto other sites.

  11. Hide Dynamic Checkout Buttons

Product pages show one Add to Cart button and no express checkout shortcuts, so every order goes through the cart.

  12. Auto External Links

Links to other sites open in a new tab, so a shopper who clicks away still has the store open behind it.

  13. Facebook Pixels

The store’s Facebook pixel is set up through Vitals, so its Facebook and Instagram ads can track visits and sales without another app.
