You can now email shoppers when an item on their wishlist is back in stock, drops in price or is almost gone, from Wishlist → Settings → Alerts. If your store already used Wishlist, alerts start switched off, so nothing is sent until you turn them on.

Until now, Wishlist saved products for shoppers but sent them nothing when those products changed.

What's new

  • Three alert emails. Back in stock, Price drop and Low stock, each with its own switch, editor and test email. For Price drop, you set the minimum drop, in percent, before an email is sent.
  • Alerts pop-up. A pop-up where shoppers sign up for alert emails.
  • Subscribers tab. See the shoppers signed up for alerts.
  • Revenue by email. See the revenue each alert email brings in.
  • Option dropdowns on the wishlist page. Items saved without a chosen option now show option dropdowns, so shoppers can pick one there.

How it works

  • New and existing stores. New stores start with alerts on. Stores that already used Wishlist start with them off.
  • One alert email every 7 days. A shopper gets at most one alert email every 7 days, across all three kinds. An alert held back by this limit is not queued, and it can send on the item's next qualifying change.
  • Each alert once per item. Each saved item triggers each kind of alert once. Only items saved in the last 12 months count, and not items the shopper already bought.
  • Products on sale only. Draft, archived and unlisted products are skipped, and bounced or unsubscribed addresses get nothing.
  • Separate from Email Marketing. Alert emails have no usage charge and don't count toward your Email Marketing monthly sends or contact cap.

For example, a shopper saves a jacket while their size is sold out, and gets a Back in stock email once it is available again.
