Ask for marketing consent in the Back in Stock popup

The Back in Stock Notify-me popup can now show a marketing consent checkbox. Shoppers who tick it are saved in Shopify as subscribed to your email marketing.

Turn it on in Back in Stock > Settings > Marketing consent, with Show a marketing consent checkbox. The checkbox reads "Email me with news and offers" by default, and you can change or translate it. It works for email signups only.

You can pre-tick the box, but pre-ticked consent is not valid in every country, so check it is allowed where you sell. Shoppers who joined a waitlist before you turned this on will not get marketing emails.
