Fair Use Policy

What's included

Every plan has all 40+ Vitals apps. Some features cost us money each time they run, like emails, SMS, Visitor Recordings, push notifications, order tracking and AI tools. For those, each plan includes a monthly amount sized for stores at its order level. AI tools get the same free monthly amount on every plan.

These amounts refill every 30 days from the date your plan started. Email contacts are the one exception: that's how many contacts you can keep, not a monthly count.

The only things that can cost extra

• Back in Stock SMS beyond the ones in your plan
• AI tools beyond your free monthly amount

Before either one costs anything, Vitals asks you to approve usage billing in Shopify. Nothing is charged unless you approve it.

If you reach a limit

• For most features, we email you when 10% is left and again when it runs out.
• Only that feature pauses until your next cycle. Your price stays the same.
• For SMS and AI, you can keep going if you approve usage billing in Shopify.
• For email contacts, the people already on your list keep getting your campaigns. Only new sign-ups wait.
• Want more? Upgrade to a bigger plan any time in the app.

Why fair use exists

SMS and emails cost us per message, Visitor Recordings per recording and AI tools each time they run. Fair use keeps one store's very heavy use from raising the price for everyone else.

What's not allowed

• Sending emails or SMS to lists you bought, rented or scraped
• Bot traffic, scripts or fake visits
• Reselling or sharing Vitals with other businesses
• Anything else our Terms of Use rule out

Breaking these can lead to a warning, a pause or the end of your account, as our Terms of Use explain.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we update this page and the date at the top.
