Copy product reviews between stores from Claude or ChatGPT

You can now ask Claude or ChatGPT to copy a product's reviews to another product, in the same store or in another of your connected stores. Nothing is copied until you click Import.

What's new

Ask your assistant, for example: “Copy the reviews of the Denim Jacket from my EU store onto the Denim Jacket in my US store.” The assistant prepares the copy and gives you a link. Nothing is copied yet.

The link opens the target product's Reviews page in Vitals with a preview: where the reviews come from, how many, and the newest ones with their photos. Click Import to copy them or Dismiss to drop the proposal.

• Only published reviews are copied. Hidden, pending and deleted reviews never are.
• Stars, text, photos, author name, date and your reply come along.
• The reviewer's email is copied too, and new reviewers are added as customers in the target store's Shopify, the same as a Shopify Product Reviews CSV import.
• Reviews the target product already has are skipped, so importing twice does not create duplicates.
• Copied reviews show Shopify as the import source and no verified-buyer badge.

How it works

The assistant can never copy reviews by itself. Only your click on Import does. The copy then shows in your import history like any other review import, with the usual progress, done and failed messages. If an import fails or is cancelled, the proposal comes back so you can open the link and import again. Each store can receive up to 30 proposals a day from the assistant.

Both stores must be connected to the same assistant (add a store from inside that store's own Vitals admin), with Reviews read access on the source store and Reviews write access on the target store, both approved on the connection screen. Only one review import runs at a time per store.

(A GDPR deletion request sent to the source store does not reach the copies in the other store, so handle each store separately.)
