Shipping Information now has a date format setting, so the delivery date in your message reads the way your storefront writes dates everywhere else.

Until now, the delivery date had one fixed style.

What you can do

Choose between three styles: short month, written as Sep 15, which is the default, full month, written as September 15, or numeric, written as 09/15. The setting sits at the top of the Messages card in Shipping Information, Settings, and each option previews a real example rendered in your store's own language.

How it works

The language of the date is not part of this setting. It always follows your store's language in Shopify, under Settings, Languages. An info note under the message template explains this and links straight to the Shopify setting. The numeric format is language neutral, which is worth knowing if month names in any language do not suit your storefront.

What this means for you

Existing stores are not affected until they change the setting. The default matches exactly what you have today.
